More than 150 local employers with 5,809 open positions are set to attend the 8th Annual Hiring Red, White and You! Job Fair on Nov. 7 at the Ballpark in Arlington.

The job fair, hosted by Workforce Solutions for Tarrant County, The Texas Veterans Commission, and The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC), begins at 10 a.m. and ends at 2 p.m. Job seekers can pre-register for the FREE event at

The event is open to everyone but will give priority access to veterans.

Some of the companies attending include: Amazon, Bell, Cook Children's Health Care System, DynCorp International LLC, FedEx, Flex-N-Gate, LLC, Gaylord Texan Resort, JPS Health Network, Klein Tools, Lockheed Martin, Six Flags Over Texas, Tarrant County College, Texas Live!, Texas Rangers, UPS, Waste Management and many more.

The multi-city event is designed to assist veterans, service members and their spouses as they seek their next career opportunity, Workforce said in a news release.

Over the past seven years, Hiring Red, White & You! has connected more than 84,153 job seekers, including 35,485 veterans and 48,668 spouses, to 14,420 employers and over 2,027 same-day hires.

This job fair is part of TWC’s Hiring Red, White & You! campaign. The campaign is a statewide event with job fairs scheduled in 31 Texas cities on Nov. 7.

Hiring Red, White & You! aims to connect Texas veterans with Texas employers who value the skills, experience, discipline, and other exceptional qualities inherent with a military background, the news release said.

The Hiring Red, White & You! statewide hiring event will help provide opportunities for employment to the estimated 1.6 million veterans in the Texas.
