Fort Worth’s Blackland Distillery has partnered with food and beverage distributor Ben E. Keith for its North Texas distribution, the two companies announced Sept. 3.

Blackland Vodka, Blackland Gin, Blackland Bourbon, and Blackland Rye Whiskey can be found on shelves and available for purchase at liquor stores throughout Fort Worth, Dallas, Denton, and neighboring cities.

The partnership marks a milestone in Ben E. Keith’s 113-year history, as Blackland will be the first gin, bourbon and whiskey available in Ben E. Keith’s spirits brand portfolio.

“We are very excited and honored with the opportunity to partner with the Blackland Distillery,” said Flint Prewitt, vice president of sales and operations for Ben E. Keith Beverages. “Markus and his team have done a fabulous job building their distillery and crafting high quality, authentic and flavorful spirits. The future is bright for Blackland, and we are eager to bring these brands to market in the weeks ahead.”

Blackland distills its spirits using high-tech hardware, computerized pot and column stills, and stainless-steel mash tuns. In addition, all grains used in Blackland spirits are sourced exclusively from Fort Worth-based TexMalt, which partners with local Texas farms to grow, produce, and source high-quality malted grains.

Packaged in iconic 750 ml bottles, Blackland Vodka has 40% alcohol by volume (ABV) and a suggested retail price of $25, Blackland Gin has 40% ABV and a SRP of $30, Blackland Bourbon has 41.5% ABV and a SRP of $35, and Blackland Rye Whiskey has 41.5% ABV and a SRP of $35.

“No other food-and-beverage distributor in Texas is as successful or highly respected as Ben E. Keith, and it is an absolute honor to partner with them for our North Texas distribution,” said Markus Kypreos, founder of Blackland Distillery. “Also, the fact that Ben E. Keith chose Blackland Gin, Blackland Bourbon, and Blackland Rye Whiskey as their first gin, bourbon and whiskey brand is a testament to the quality of our product.”

Blackland Distillery was founded in 2019 in Fort Worth by lawyer-turned-chef-turned-distiller Kypreos. The distillery is located just west of downtown Fort Worth in The Foundry District at 2616 Weisenberger St. Blackland Distillery offers a full-service, upscale cocktail bar and tasting room, and is open-to-the-public Wednesday through Sunday from 5 p.m.-midnight.
