The Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl announced Thursday that Fort Worth-based car dealership Bruce Lowrie Chevrolet will be named official automobile/dealership sponsor of the game.

Bruce Lowrie Chevrolet will sponsor this year’s game, which will be played Dec. 23 at 3:30 p.m., as well as the subsequent games in the next two years.

The dealership will sponsor the Bruce Lowrie Warrior Club, located at the south end zone of Amon G. Carter Stadium. Wounded service members and their families can receive complimentary tickets to the club and enjoy food before being honored on the field.

In addition, the dealership will co-sponsor the postgame concert.

Lowrie himself was a World War Two veteran, serving in the Army Air Corp and flying 26 missions in a B-17 bomber among other duties.

“Bruce Lowrie Chevrolet has been a Fort Worth staple for almost 100 years, and we are honored they have joined us as part of the Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl family,” said Brant Ringler, executive director of the Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl. “Bruce himself was a veteran and this relationship honors his legacy as well as adds their support to our event to continue honoring armed forces members and their families.”
