The Fort Worth Business Press honored the 2019 Great Women of Texas on Nov. 6 at Four 11.

The event was presented by Baylor Scott & White.

Gold Sponsors were Rod Patrick Bootmakers and Kimbell Art Museum. The Bronze Sponsor was APEX Leadership Mastery

Here are the honorees:

Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price – Legend Award

“I do think that the art of compromise and of listening and being respectful of each other has been lost - the last few years particularly,” she said in a recent FWBP interview. “It’s been going that way for a long time. It’s a tough spot but you just have to be respectful.”

Louella Baker Martin – Legacy Award

“Get to know people you meet and keep in contact, “being there” for others, listen to their ideas, follow-up, have a sense of humor,” she said.

Pat Harrison Dedicated Service Award

“My career at BRIT has focused on nature education, specifically plants and our natural environment. Plants have always been a passion, and I’ve come to realize the power of nature to improve lives,” she said.
