There are changes in store for Fort Worth’s premier downtown development.

Sundance Square and City Center Towers today announced changes in management responsibilities related to Bass family properties in downtown Fort Worth.

Ed and Sasha Bass recently acquired 100 percent interest in the Sundance Square properties and are joint owners of the City Center Towers properties with Sid and Lee Bass. The Fine Line Group, owned by Ed and Sasha Bass, has named Henry S. Miller Co. as new property management firm for Sundance Square in downtown Fort Worth. The appointment of the Henry S. Miller Company followed a very careful selection process and will become effective on Jan. 1, 2020, according to a news release from Fine Line.

“We are ready to advance Sundance Square to the next level, bringing new vibrancy to our retail, restaurant, multi-family residential, office and entertainment offerings,” said Ed Bass in a statement. “I am delighted that one of the country’s great real estate firms – Henry S. Miller Company – will be our partner. And I am proud that we have selected a Texas firm that has developed, managed and leased other iconic properties.”

The Bass family’s City Center Towers complex, comprised of the Wells Fargo Tower, the Bank of America Tower and their two attached parking garages, will be managed by City Center Management Company and its CEO, Johnny Campbell.

Campbell, the long-time head of management, leasing and marketing activities for the combined City Center Towers and Sundance Square properties, said, “We welcome the Henry S. Miller team to downtown Fort Worth and we look forward to working together to continue providing an amazing experience for all those who office, shop and live in this award-winning area of downtown Fort Worth.”

Ed Bass’ long-time business partner, Bill Boecker, working with Henry S. Miller, will lead the transition during the next two months.

In the late 1970s Sid Bass initiated the Bass family’s commitment to the revitalization of downtown Fort Worth with the development of the City Center Towers, the Worthington Hotel (since sold to Marriott) and the core blocks of Sundance Square. Ed Bass took the lead in the development of Sundance Square in the late 1980s, with multiple projects over three decades bringing it to the point we know today.

Henry S. Miller Company was Sundance Square’s first property management and leasing firm in the early 1980s. The company and its family members have owned and/or developed some of the region’s signature properties, including Highland Park Village and West Village in Dallas.
