Linda Randazzo, 9/11 survivor and Medical City Plano employee is sharing her powerful story for the first time publicly in recognition of the 18th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

She will present to Medical City Plano’s leadership team as a “Connect to Purpose” – a personal narrative that reflects a connection to the hospital’s mission to the care and improvement of human life.

Linda was 33 years old and working for an insurance company on the 35th floor of 1 World Trade Center when the attacks occurred. Her co-workers were evacuating through a main stairwell when Linda remembered her friend, Edith, who had left to go to the restroom before the fire alarms sounded. Linda speaks poignantly about going back to the office to search for her friend and ultimately choosing an alternate stairwell that led down to safety. Most people who took the main staircase perished when the tower collapsed.
