Fort Worth ~ Luis Daniel Hernandez, 60, trade electrician, husband, father, grandfather and friend went to be with our Lord Wednesday, August 14, 2019 in Fort Worth, Texas.

Visitation Friday, August 16, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Hawkins Family Funeral Home – Chapel with a Recitation of the Rosary at 6:00 p.m.

Luis was born on September 8, 1958 in Tampico, Tamaulipas to Juan Hernandez Ramirez and Graciela Rivas Pena. He was a very loving and caring person, who cared very much for his family. He enjoyed being outdoors and deer hunting at every opportunity he had. He would share about his days as an avid swimmer and how much he loved the water. He was full of life and was proud of skill trade as an electrician for over 30 years, so much that his legacy of being an electrician was inspired to his son in laws to carry on the same skill of trade. Luis loved his wife and children deeply with much love and passion. He was a Dad to his stepchildren who are grateful to have had him as their father, he loved them as his own without question, and they created many wonderful memories and laughs over the years together, as a family.

He was preceded in death by his Father, his brother Miguel Alejandro, his sister’s Blanca Margarita and Juana Leticia.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 26 years of marriage Irma Hernandez of Fort Worth; his son Santos Casillas and wife Lisa of Fort Worth; his daughters Elizabeth Espinoza and husband Miguel of Fort Worth and Claudia Torres and husband Arturo of Fort Worth; his son Jose Juan Casillas of Fort Worth; his grandchildren Crystal Caraveo, Casey Espinoza, Jonathan Casillas, Christopher Torres, David Casillas, Kelsey Casillas, Caroline Espinoza, Joselyn Casillas; great granddaughter Maya Caraveo; his mother Graciela Rivas Pena; his siblings Juan Manual Hernandez, Ma. Tomasa, Angel Valentin, Linda Concepcion and Juana Graciela; along with many extended family members & a host of friends.
