Ollie’s Bargain Outlet, one of the nation’s largest retailers of closeout merchandise and excess inventory, is a new tenant in Camp Bowie West Center at 7909 Camp Bowie W. Blvd.

The retail division of NAI Robert Lynn’s Fort Worth office recently closed the deal as Ollie’s is expanding its Texas footprint with the opening of the new 39,000-square-foot store, the first in Tarrant County. Todd Hubbard, NAI Robert Lynn Fort Worth president, as well as the firm’s Retail Fort Worth president Jon McDaniel and Retail Market Director Bobby Montgomery represented the property owner, Sutherland Building Material Centers, and secured the new lease with Ollie’s.

The shopping center, located near major highways I-30 and I-820 and a new neighboring Planet Fitness, is in a prime location due to the renewed economic development of the area – 10,000 square feet of space remains for lease. The property is currently undergoing renovations which will continue to drive tenant interest. A new roof was recently added to the property along with updated modern facades, lighting and landscaping to entice drive-by traffic.

“As a 100-year-old family-owned business, we operated a Sutherland lumber yard in this location in Benbrook for 38 years. Unfortunately, the building format did not work for our new retail direction with our Sutherland’s HomeBase retail stores. We had many great years in the area and are happy to see the corner being reinvigorated by new businesses coming in such as Ollie’s and Planet Fitness,” said a representative of the owner. “NAI Robert Lynn was instrumental in finding a growing, unique retailer looking to expand its retail into Texas.”

“With Ollie’s unique discounted goods, the brand is thriving on a physical footprint in today’s shopping climate. Our strategy is to find and deliver a dynamic mix of retailers, positioning Camp Bowie West Center as one of the top retail destinations in Tarrant County,” McDaniel said.

Ollie’s carries a high volume of goods in more than 15 categories including houseware, electronics, flooring, toys and more. Earlier this year, the retailer opened a 615,060-square-foot distribution hub in Lancaster.
